The move to a new logo shop left us with a question at Divisions Maintenance Group: What should we do with all the leftover gear from the old logo shop?

It’s quality items – t-shirts, umbrellas, water cups – and we definitely didn’t want it to go to waste. So, we decided to host a flash sale for our employees, who are always asking for more DMG swag.

Then, we added a twist: Our employees could buy whatever they wanted at heavily discounted prices, and we’d donate all the proceeds to local charities. We ended up giving:

  • $625 to the Anthony Muñoz Foundation, the youth-focused nonprofit started by former Cincinnati Bengal Anthony Muñoz.
  • $625 to March of Dimes, which focuses on health for moms and babies.
  • $625 to the National MS Society, which is dedicated to eradicating multiple sclerosis.
  • 250 t-shirts (worth about $5 each) to the Brighton Center, which helps individuals and families with self-sufficiency and employment.

DMG has been part of the Greater Cincinnati community since our founding in 1999, and we have a long tradition of supporting community causes.

“We love it here. We love our neighbors. And we love helping out any way we can,” said DMG Marketing Coordinator Megan Herbert, who helped organize the sale and donations. “Any day that we can help local nonprofits and get our employees some fresh gear at the same time – that’s a good day.”
