Divisions Maintenance Group continues to expand its executive leadership team, bringing in a senior technology executive with more than 20 years of experience at big-name companies.
Gianluca Pucacco is DMG’s new Chief Operating Officer, responsible for overseeing the company’s field, sales, marketing and customer-success teams. Pucacco is charged with furthering DMG’s growth, with the initial goal of surpassing $1 billion in sales by 2024.
“I have a passion for scaling businesses, and I’m thrilled to be joining an organization that prioritizes technology and innovation,” Pucacco said. “From my very first meeting with the DMG team, it was clear this is a place where I’ll have the opportunity to leverage my passion, skills and experience to help lead the next phase of growth.”
Pucacco’s resume includes leadership positions at Hewlett-Packard, PayPal, Microsoft, Facebook (now Meta) and, most recently, Stripe.
At Stripe, named the most innovative company in the world this year by Fast Company, Pucacco was the Head of Sales Development and GTM Revenue Operations.
At Facebook, he was Vice President of Global Sales Operations, responsible for growing revenue for global ad sales to more than $50 billion.
“When we looked at what was a very strong candidate pool to begin with, there was no doubt Gianluca was our No. 1 pick,” said DMG Chief Strategy Officer Kyle Murray. “We are transforming from a tech-enabled services company into a product- and tech-driven services company. Gianluca has the most blue-chip tech and growth background you could ask for.
“We’ve always looked forward to hitting the billion-dollar sales mark, but that really undershoots what’s possible here. We’re investing in technology and products that will deliver big competitive advantages in speed and quality. We’re also investing in our team, including with the addition of Gianluca. Really, a billion dollars is just the beginning.”
Pucacco grew up in Rome, Italy, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in statistical data analysis from the University of Rome. He went on to earn a Masters in Strategic Management from the Dublin Institute of Technology in Dublin, Ireland. He is also a Six Sigma Black Belt.
He lives with his wife, Nicolette, and two children, Giorgia and Samuel.
His first day with DMG is September 6.
“For the past 20 years, I’ve had the opportunity to lead customer service, analytics, operations, sales and revenue teams,” he said. “As Chief Operating Officer for DMG, I have the opportunity now to bring all those experiences together under one umbrella to improve the customer experience and drive growth.”
