By Lisa Hoelle, Account Executive
I knew years before my first day with DMG that this is where I wanted to work.
It started back in 2020 when I lost my job during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. A DMG recruiter reached out, and I instantly fell in love with the company. But that particular job involved a lot of travel, and with a newborn son and the uncertainties of the pandemic, it just wasn’t the right time.
Still, I knew I’d be back.
I got another job and went on with my career, but I continued to regularly check DMG’s website, hoping for the right opening.
In 2023, I got my break.

I started with DMG this past November as an Account Executive, which means I’m responsible for finding new customers and, once they’re on board, acting as an operations coordinator for the account as well.
I love this job because it lets me use all the skills I’ve gained throughout my career. My background in logistics and sales has really helped me hit the ground running, and I’ve been able to grab some early wins.
It also helps that I truly believe in what I’m selling. Especially for small- and mid-sized businesses, DMG offers a level of customer service our competitors can’t match.
I’ve chosen to focus on restaurants and grocery stores, so most of my customers are in that space. I also like to start with break/fix work. Other Account Executives are focusing on hospitals, schools or rehab centers. That’s the great thing about this job — you get to decide what to make of it.
After my initial conversations with the recruiter back in 2020, I was sold on DMG’s culture. I watched from afar as the company continued to grow, moving into a new downtown HQ in June 2023. When I interviewed for the Account Executive job, I could feel the energy and excitement as soon as I stepped into the building, and I knew 100% I wanted to be part of it.
Account Executive is a new position at DMG, so there has been a learning curve. I work long hours, and sometimes that includes taking calls on weekends or in the evenings.
But the payoff is worth it. There is no commission cap, so I can truly make an unlimited amount of money, and I know I’m going to be able to live the lifestyle I want.
Plus, I’m never working alone. That’s the culture at DMG — people at every level and in every department are willing to help. I’ve never seen a company come together to make changes and progress happen so quickly. Honestly, it’s incredible, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
About Lisa
Title: Account Executive
The best part of my job: I get so much support at DMG, not only from my team but from every department in the company. Product & Engineering, Training and Learning, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, our senior leadership teams and more — everyone is always ready and willing to help.
My managers and DMG leadership take my feedback seriously, positive and negative, and are quick to put ideas into action.
Why DMG? I love DMG’s culture. This is a great work environment, and that’s tough to find in a job. I was one of the first Account Executives hired here, and I’m so excited to see where this program goes and how it grows.
Fun fact: I was adopted at two days old and had to raise myself starting at 17. I wouldn’t change it for anything — it’s shaped me into who I am today.
